Carolyn Harrington – Chief Executive Officer
Carolyn has over 15 years experience successfully managing and establishing new companies around the globe. She has worked for and/or consulted to companies such as HSBC, Microsoft, Blackberry, KPMG and The Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales.
Carolyn’s key to success has been using data to identify what the customer wants in a product/company offering and marketing to them through their preferred sales channel. She has seen numerous companies fail as they haven’t listened to what their customers are telling them.
Carolyn brings to MoCo Insight both proven leadership and marketing/sales expertise. She is passionate about our product offerings and hoping our clients maximise their sales revenue and customer engagement through the use of data.
Rob Davies – Chief Technology Officer
Rob began his career as an Outdoor Educator after he finished his Environmental Scientist degree. However his inner geek took over after a couple of years later when he took a job at a printing firm helping them install their new IT systems. He impressed the supplier so much they offered him a job and within two years Rob was running their Research and Development Department.
Since then Rob has successfully set up numerous IT companies who have sold data driven software systems to the retail, IT, print and manufacturing industries. Thomas Cook, the Australian Air Force, Technology One and Mincom are just a selection of companies who have purchased both Rob’s products and expertise.
Rob brings to MoCo Insight more than 20 years of worth of experience developing data driven software solutions that integrate with both legacy systems and applications. Our resident futurologist, he is always one step ahead of the trends in terms of predicting company systems requirement needed to service their customers.

Dale O’Brien – Principal Software Engineer
Dale has 18 years international experience in the developing and implementing software systems for the automotive, medical and financial industries. Specialising in designing high performance data mining systems, he built a program that processed huge volumes of data, with multiple variables in real-time for the gambling industry to effectively beat the system.
Dale has been instrumental in the development of MoCo Insight’s product offering by applying his personal interest of using data to identify human behavioural patterns into the core design of our systems. By developing in the agile technologies, Python and Django, he has built our suite of scalable technologies to process large volumes of data in real-time.

The BOARD
Derek Young was born in Kelso, Scotland in 1948. He was educated at South West London College and the City of London College in the U.K., where he qualified as a member of the Association of Certified Accountants. He migrated to Australia in 1972.
Derek joined Andersen Consulting (later Accenture) in 1973 and was admitted as a partner in 1980. Prior to his retirement in 2003 he was the Managing Director of Accenture Australia and the Managing Partner of Accenture’s Financial Services Industry Practice in Asia Pacific.
A fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants (U.K.) and a member of the Australian Society of Accountants. Derek is based in Melbourne, but as over 25 years’ experience in strategic planning, information technology planning, and the management of large-scale technology and re-engineering projects. He has particular expertise in implementing large-scale transformational change initiatives.
Derek has worked in the UK, USA and a number of countries in Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea.
Currently the chair of the Melbourne Theatre Company and the Australian Major Performing Arts Group, Derek is also a Council member of RMIT University and chair of its Planning and Finance Committee and chairman /director of a number of private companies in a range of industries and chairs several not for profit organizations.
David is a very experienced corporate advisor and has advised on assignments within numerous industries including retail, manufacturing, health and beverages.
David holds directorships and advisory roles with many privately owned Australian and international companies and family owned businesses. David also plays an active role in the community and is involved in a number of not for-profit Boards.
Prior to his current role as Executive Director of Corporate Advisory Services at Credit Suisse, David was the Co-chairman and Co-founder of the Hindal Group of Companies. David has also spent 27 years working with Arthur Andersen, and was an International Partner for 16 years. During this period, David provided financial consulting services to medium to large companies and was also involved in many significant merger, acquisition and divestment transactions.
David has completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Natasha Mandie is the Managing Director of Mandie Consulting, a boutique corporate advisory firm servicing small to mid-market companies. With over 15 years’ experience, she has advised on numerous listed and private transactions, including business sales, strategic licensing / partnership agreements, debt and equity capital raisings, mergers and takeovers.
Renowned for her ability to achieve results and her integrity, Natasha strategic negotiation and execution skills as well as extensive business networks enable her to deliver a superior outcome for her clients in often quite challenging circumstances.
Natasha has held a variety of executive positions during her career including Director of Credit Suisse’s Corporate Advisory Solutions Department and Director /Shareholder of the Hindal Group, a boutique corporate advisor. In addition, Natasha sits on various private company boards and is a Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Natasha has a B Comm (Hons) and LLB (Hons) from the University of Melbourne and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

David Mandel
David Mandel has a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from the University of Sussex England. He commenced his career as a marketing graduate with Unilever UK and held a number of senior management roles with Smorgon Consolidated Industries, Visy and Riverwood International Corp in both the USA and Australia, where he was Managing Director for three years from 1995 to 1997. Riverwood in Australia was a 600 employee, five plant, $125 million revenue folding carton businesses owned by the listed US multinational corporation. David is currently a non-executive director of the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, a couple of small listed technology and biotech companies, as well as a number of organisations in the commercial, government and not for profit sectors.
